Here below are shown some references of integrated laboratories in the “Industry”, “Education and Research” and “Healthcare and Hospitals” sectors for which AHSI S.p.A. has designed and developed interesting and important solutions.
AHSI S.p.A. it is also the official distributor of Novaerus air disinfection systems and has installed these devices for medical offices and commercial activities.
HOSPITALS AND HEALTHCARE
Great achievement for AHSI S.p.A. with the important project won and carried out for the innovative UOC of Nephrology and Dialysis of the Consortium Polyclinic of Bari. The project developed according to the needs of the users, saw a dynamic, flexible and cutting-edge integration of technical furnishings and different instrumental technologies.
The project dealt with and solved various needs related to the multidisciplinarity of integrated technologies, implementing advanced systems to improve the working conditions and safety of operators, thanks to cutting-edge collective protection devices, integrated with patented air purification systems for toxic substances, such as formalin and VOC. In fact, no. 8 laboratories aimed at different applications: from histology to proteomics to genomics.
In addition, were created cell culture environments with state-of-the-art CO2 centrifuges and incubators, were provided sample storage units at different temperatures (+4, -20, -80) and a cold chamber for optimal conservation and storage of biological samples and drugs. All this led to the creation of a modern and technologically synergistic Multifunctional Laboratory at the highest quality level adopted in all the facilities of the nascent Nephrology and Dialysis Center.
INDUSTRIES AND TEST LABORATORIES
Important supply for new FIS QC Labs. The project required a commitment and constant discussion of over 8 months for the preliminary and final phase. The executive project developed over two floors of laboratories with a total area of 2000 m2. The AHSI supply was complex and articulated. In addition to standard items such as the Mecc Laboratory Benches and safety cabinets, a series of customized solutions has been developed based on the specific needs of laboratory end users.
About 100 chemical Fume hoods have been customized (connected to the HVAC) and 100 high-capacity Kompatto mobile workstations have been specifically designed, sized and configured according to their specific intended use (GC-MS, HPLC). To complete the supply, a series of cabinets have been created for the management, organization and passage of the incoming samples.
The initial needs for this new laboratory required three fundamental factors: large size of worktops (in a modestly sized environment); ease of use and widespread presence of users, flexibility in mobile workstations to adapt to new activities. These characteristics, common in similar laboratories, are technically in contrast with each other and can not be satisfied by a traditional laboratory furniture in which the utilities are installed directly on the workstations.
The proposed project, which met with considerable success, provided for the supply of utilities installed on suspended ceiling-mounted columns of the Columnia vertical service columns and Mecc laboratory benches. The utilities are widespread and distributed in such a way as to easily guarantee a new configuration of the labs without invasive interventions.
The “Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo”, a world leader in the production of grafted cuttings, investing in research has created a futuristic building equipped with highly specialized laboratories dedicated to research and QC. The project, with attention to the smallest details in all technical, functional, ergonomic and safety aspects, required the perfect integration of instrumentation and lab furnishings. During the design phase, AHSI organized the arrangement of all the main elements, from workflows to the distribution of plant engineering and extraction of chemical hoods.
Thanks to the collaboration and constant dialogue with the managers of the laboratories and the designers, the result obtained is unique in its kind. The instrumentation integrated with the laboratory furniture, perfectly inserted in the rooms and consistent with the architectural project have created “showcase” laboratories to be proudly displayed to visitors as the pride of the company.
ACQUE S.p.A. – Empoli (FI)
AHSI S.p.A. had the honor of participating in one of the projects for the protection of the most precious assets that exists on earth: water.
With the development of 480 m2 of surface, chemical and microbiological laboratories were created with the aim of carrying out environmental analyzes of water and soils for the company Acque S.p.A based in Empoli. After the redevelopment of an existing building, AHSI, thanks to its design skills combined with many years of experience, managed to bypass the available conditioning structure, developing a respectable design solution. Today, thanks to the technical backbones under the window combined with the Dockwall series walls, it is possible to connect any furniture with any type of electrical, water, gas and drain user. It will be possible, based on the future needs of the laboratory, to remodel the spaces by creating open-space laboratory or divided and dedicated to particular applications. This ability to adapt spaces is one of the fulcrum of our experience, in fact, it will be possible to achieve it without invasive interventions and without interrupting normal laboratory activities. The various laboratories, according to specific needs, were equipped with Kompatto series mobile workstations, Ikaro hanging beams, RX series fume hoods and Herasafe laminar flow hoods.
EDUCATIONAL AND REASEARCH
Ambitious project developed in a new building specifically built as the headquarters of the Pisan Foundation for Science. The laboratories, entirely located on the first floor, cover an area of around 1200 m2. The needs for flexibility, modularity and adaptation of the laboratories based on future needs developed to a project that involves the division of all areas with technical walls integrated into the furniture.
All the piping, electrical panels, switchboards, fire and gas detection systems are integrated, hidden and easy to inspetc thanks to the thickness of the wall, its modularity and the rapid panel attachment system. The Dockwall Partition Wall have perfectly met the design requirements by adapting to the structure, the technical specifications of each area and giving all environments an atmosphere that combines technology, cleanliness and practicality.
AIR DISINFECTION SYSTEMS - NOVAERUS
Piovella Global Center for Ophthalmology – Private Center for Ocular Diagnostics and Microsurgery – C.M.A. – Monza (MB)
Outpatient Microsurgery Center of Monza (MB), which presides over the certified level of excellence both CERSOI and UNI EN ISO 9001 -2000; making it the first eye care facility in Italy that boasts two quality certifications, chose our air disinfection systems Novaerus with NanoStrike® Patented Cold Plasma Technology. Dr. Matteo Piovella, one of the leading experts in cataract and refractive surgery, President of the SOI (Italian Ophthalmological Society) made a conscious and targeted choice, in order to guarantee safety to the operators and patients of his Center, especially during this pandemic period. Thanks to the different systems chosen NV 200 and NV 800, located in different areas of the structure, the Center guarantees the disinfection of the indoor air, reducing airborne infectious transmission, essential for containing possible pathogen infections. The patented NanoStrike® Cold Plasma Technology installed is able to destroy microorganisms of nanometer size and diameter less than 0.1 μm, using a range of simultaneous pathogen inactivation processes, which occur in the nanosecond time interval. Plasma has immediate destructive effects on pathogens at DNA level, killing bacteria and fungus, including their spores, and deactivating viruses.
Dove Vivo – Milan (MI)
Dove Vivo is the first and largest co-living company in Europe. It is the answer to thousands of requests for homes and residences in various and important Italian cities, with an imminent expansion project abroad. This year, Dove Vivo has also invested in health, well-being and, above all, in safety for its huge community of students and young workers, who live out of their headquarters by necessity. Dove Vivo has installed our Novaerus air disinfection systems with patented NanoStrike® Cold Plasma Technology in their homes and residences. The technology of Novaerus is able to destroy nanometer-sized microorganisms with a diameter of less than 0.1 µm, using a range of inactivation of simultaneous pathogens occurring in the nanosecond time interval. The immediate destructive effects that plasma has on pathogens at the DNA level effectively kill bacteria, fungus and viruses.
